Before becoming a mother, I used to teach 5th grade. Then I had my own daughter — a prolific storyteller with a reading list full of epic fantasy — who hit a wall with spelling. Common Questions
How does the 7-day free trial work?
Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. You add a payment method when the trial starts, and your subscription begins automatically when the trial ends — unless you cancel before then. Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — online, from your account settings, and cancelling is as easy as subscribing was. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period: you keep access until then, and you’re not charged again.
What’s the difference between Wyla Solo and Wyla Family?
Just the number of kids. Both plans include the full Wyla experience — the same learning engine, the same world, the same creatures. Wyla Solo covers one child; Wyla Family covers up to four, each with their own progress, level, and creature collection.
What ages is Wyla for?
Wyla is generally for kids ages 7–15: we meet kids right when they have their sounds solid and some basic short words like cat and dog down, then build up from there. A gentle placement meets your child at their level in their very first session. With over 40,000 words, it surprisingly works all the way up to adult learners too — we’re playing it as we build and learning new words each day.
What do we need to play?
A web browser — nothing to install. Wyla works great on a laptop, desktop, or tablet.
What about refunds?
The free trial is there so you can make sure Wyla is right for your family before paying anything; after that, payments are non-refundable except where required by law. That said, if something has gone wrong — like a renewal you didn’t expect — email hello@wyla.app and we’ll take a look.
